My first NHL experience

One of the perks to being in the area office these days is lunch. I get lunch taken care of often by subs doing a little courting, or by the office of the location of the meeting we are in at the time. The other perk is that I get offerred tickets to Rockies games often. One unexpected ticket we got last week was to an Avs-Red Wings playoff hockey game.
These are the only 2 teams I've ever taken the time to watch, so it was cool to have the opportunity. One of our subs gave Darron and I the tickets, so of course we had to go. It was my first hockey game ever on any level, and we were in ROW 2! We were in the corner where the Zamboni's come out to groom the ice. We had so much action and the biggest hits of the night down on our end. It was a fun game to watch. The Avs made a comeback but due to some sketchy officiating it wasn't enough. I have to say, hockey is awesome to watch LIVE.
Above is D. Hasek, the famous Red Wing goalie. He has been around forever. He has lots of gray hair. That guy below, Franzen, killed the Avs. He scored hat tricks (3 goals in one game) in 2 of the 4 games vs. the Avs. The Red Wings were awesome, sorry Avs but it's true. They spanked you in 4 straight games.
By the way, it was MULLET HEAVEN. Unfortunately I would have had a few drunken hockey fans to beat up had I attempted to take any pictures. I apologize for not getting any pics, but I thought it best to keep my camera to myself.

There's a kid in medical school with a fuax mohawk/mullet. I'm not really sure what look he was going for, but I can tell you that whatever it was, he missed it. Anyways, just wanted to say hi!
We love going to chiefs games! Looks like fun!!
