Books and Birthdays
Well I haven't read these books yet, but for those of you who have, you might find this article interesting. http://www.usatoday.com/life/books/news/2007-08-15-eclipse_N.htm If you don't have time to read it, the article basically talks about the author being a BYU grad and how a dream she had inspired the stories. The coolest part to me is that it unseated the 7th Harry Potter book as #1 on USA Today's best selling list. That is really saying something when you unseat what will probably be the most sold of the 7 Harry Potter books.
While I am on the topic of Harry Potter, I want to say that from last Saturday night to Wednesday morning my life was engulfed by my in-law's copy of the 7th Harry Potter book, Deathly Hallows. Wayne, my father-in-law, finished it so Elaine, my mother-in-law could start it on their trip to Avon, CO. Since she had already started another book, she let me read it but told me it went with her when they left.
Well, I knew I had to leave Wednesday morning to come back to work, so I had about 4 days to read 756 pages. I averaged about 80 pages an hour when I read, and I finished it Wednesday morning just before I left. What a whirlwind of a story. All I will say is that it was excellent. I read it so fast though that I didn't have a lot of time to digest it. Last night at work I kept thinking about it and trying to process all of that information. Whew.
Janna and the boys returned home this afternoon, so we will post about our vacation sometime in the next few days. Van is 3 months old today. Rusty had his 3rd birthday on Monday. My mom's birthday is tomorrow, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM. Your presents are coming, they are just going to be a little late.

Hey guys, I just had to say I have read eclipse and the other books and I loved them!
Janna- I'm sure you remember Jennilyn Ehorn from freshman year, well she lives here in Arizona, we hung out yesterday. We were talking about the dorms and how much fun we had. I will have to dig up some old pictures of us and post them! Do you keep in touch with anyone else? Check my blog for the pics soon!
Luke - You have to read them! I finished the last one today and it's great! I promise that you will fall in love with the characters..they are too real not to. Are we still on for the family shoot tomorrow? Hope so!
adios,
me
Just wanted to say I love the family pic! How'd you get the boys to cooperate? We may need some pointers so we don't have to photoshop anyone! :)
Ok,
This mother I vote for the Christmas picture with you Janna Stone and Rusty. I like it short but not to short! And not the bald style. Having one son bald is enough for now. So that's my vote. But with your work probably really short would work best especially since your time is limited for washing, combing and styling you could use that time to spend with your family.
